Original Dracula Blogged
I am going back in time, to a very special time indeed. The novel Dracula will be blogged according to its own internal dating - beginning on Wednesday May 3. This publication of the novel is an expansion of an experiment started last year which was highly successful. The text is accompanied by background, discussion and commentary. Back from Whitby
Well, it had to end. Whitby over and back to Glasgow. I went a day earlier than usual and it still flew by. Maybe next time I shall go a whole week earlier! Took some good pics of all those lovely dark creatures. A bit of a photo dilemma as I have yet to print the October 2005 Whitby pics, so this most recent batch taken in April will have to wait until my Halloween issue. C'est la vie! | | Tuesday, April 18th, 2006 | | 11:56 pm |
My Beloved Whitby
I am about to embark on a journey to my beloved Whitby. Can it really be six months since I last walked the 199 steps? Surely not! Ah, who knows which dark strangers I shall meet this time? The thought indeed makes me quite giddy... | | Friday, April 14th, 2006 | | 12:36 am |
The Curse of the Vampire Returns
True, I have relaunched Bite me, in the same way that time diminishes negative memories, yet enhances good ones, well, I had erased all memory of the nightmares of producing such a mag alone. I fear it had all disappeared into a fog. Alas, 'tis not to be. Is it possible I wonder to love and hate vampires? I think I do. It is funny how I forget all the nightmares of producing a mag after a few months admiring the previous issue. It practically comes as a shock- exactly when production time comes along! Believe me, I do indeed suffer for my art. Deadlines, late submissions, few advertising prospects, an increasing paper print bill, stress, more deadlines. Bloody Vampires! But hey, that's vampires for you. Next time, I don't think I'll come back as a vampire... | | Wednesday, April 5th, 2006 | | 9:19 pm |
Bite me magazine launches on Live Journal!
It's that time on year where it all happens, now only weeks away to the Whitby Goth fest. It can never come soon enough for me of course. But between then and now I need to finish the next issue of Bite me! I am busy making the checklist of definite articles to be featured in Bite me- why are there never enough pages? I say the same thing every issue, mind. I am going to work even harder to cram everything in… Current Mood: stressed |
